Food storage is an important topic to anyone who is in preparedness. If you have special diet restrictions or health concerns the attention to food storage requirements and needs is even more intense. We had a very special Preparinar (webinar) where we discussed the importance of food storage with a Special Diet in mind.
Our special guest presenters did an incredible job sharing their expertise and knowledge. Janet Liebsch shared some very helpful and important information on topic of: “Planning to Survive & thrive With Celiac Disease”.
Here are some of the topics Janet discussed:
- Just because something says it’s “Gluten Free” doesn’t mean it is.
- Make your own meals/snacks so you know exactly what is in them.
- Beware – there are several non-food products that may contain gluten.
Janet Liebsch is co-founder of FedHealth and co-author (with her husband Bill) of “IT’S A DISASTER! …and what are YOU gonna do about it? A Disaster Preparedness, Prevention and Basic First Aid Manual” . She’s also is Executive Vice-President and Disaster Specialist for the U.S. First Responders Association, and is the Arizona state moderator on American Preppers Network. Since most people are complacent about preparing for the unexpected, Bill and Janet have developed creative ways for the private and public sectors to collaborate and gently force this customizable preparedness data into homes and businesses while helping fund nonprofits, schools and First Responders in the process. Bill is living with Celiac Disease and recovering his health through dietary diligence.
