Whether it is finding a fresh water source (such as a natural spring) or creating a water solution by digging a well or capturing rainwater, having an uninterrupted supply of water for your family needs is essential.
All too often, people fall into the mindset that they have a stable solution because they are on a municipal supply of water. That may be true, but the harsh reality is that water supply is a target area for disruption. Whether wide-spread contamination or power collapse, there are potentials that could impact water water supply. The prudent solution for many preparedness families is to have an effective water plan in place.
In this issue, we discuss water solutions such as: capturing water, digging your own well by hand, and locating a natural spring that you can tap. There is also important expert discussion on effective and safe solutions for water storage, and water filtering.
The importance of securing a safe and stable water supply in preparedness situations can not be overlooked. Water is the essence of life, and is often taken for granted because our current ability to turn on a spigot. We need to have a plan in the event our current convenient water solution becomes disabled.
