Food storage is an important topic to anyone who is in preparedness. If you have special diet restrictions or health concerns the attention to food storage requirements and needs is even more intense.
We had a very special Preparinar (webinar) where we discussed the importance of food storage with a Special Diet in mind. Our special guest presenters did an incredible job sharing their expertise and knowledge.
Vickilynn Haycraft shared important information on the topic of: “Planning to Survive and Thrive with Diabetes”.
Here are some of the important tips she covered during this important Preparinar:
- The need to address other common health issues for Diabetics in regards to what foods to store & how .
- Using “real food” rather than processed for better Diabetic Health and the hurdle of ‘shelf-life’.
- Storing more proteins, gluten-free flours, nuts, seeds, veggies for least impact on blood glucose levels and managing carbohydrate intake.
